The year 2025 marks the centenary of the Réseau des Émetteurs Français (REF) and the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU).
To commemorate this major event, REF, a member of the IARU, is offering a radio challenge to all licensed radio amateurs and SWL listeners worldwide. The REF Centenary Challenge aims to celebrate 100 years of REF activities by bringing the amateur radio community together around a convivial activity. The challenge will run from April 1 to June 30, 2025, and will include contacts on the 160m, 80m, 60m, 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m, 10m, 6m, 2m, 70cm, 23cm, 13cm, 6cm, 3cm and satellite bands, including QO-100. The following modes will be used: SSB (voice), CW (Morse) and digital (FT8, FT4, RTTY, PSK31, etc.). Cross-mode / band links, as well as those using terrestrial relays or connections assisted by radio-internet or similar media, will not be accepted. All participating departments and territories will have a call sign in the following format:
The awards are issued separately for the modes CW, Phone, Digital and MIX. All awards are free of charge and can only be requested and downloaded via the website https://tm100ref.r-e-f.org/ until December 31, 2025. |
